is founder and managing director of bettervest. During his work as a trend and futurologist at the Zukunftsinstitut in 2006, he came across the phenomenon of crowdfunding for the first time during a research project and has been observing the scene ever since. Inspired by Prof. Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker's book "Factor Four", he developed the basic idea for the bettervest platform, through which citizens finance energy efficiency projects. With the growing popularity of crowdfunding in Germany, bettervest GmbH was founded together with Marilyn Heib, Evgenij Terehov, Torsten Schreiber and Ingo Birkenfeld after winning the "Startup Weekend" in Frankfurt in 2012.
